And How to Start Feeling Again
There’s a strange paradox in the world we live in. We’re more connected than ever, yet many people feel… nothing.
Not fully sad.
Not fully happy.
Just flat. Disconnected. Numb.
And this doesn’t just happen overnight.
It’s the result of years of:
- pushing through instead of slowing down
- living in the mind instead of the body
- overriding intuition
- ignoring subtle signals from within
At some point, your system adapts. Not because something is wrong with you, only because your body is trying to protect you.
The Cost of Numbness
When you stop feeling pain, you also stop feeling pleasure.
You lose:
- clarity
- intuition
- aliveness
Life becomes something you manage, instead of something you experience.
Coming Back Into the Body
You don’t “think” your way back into feeling. You return through the body.
Slowly. Gently. Consistently.
Start here:
1. Awareness without judgment
Notice what you feel, or don’t feel.
No fixing. No labeling.
2. Breath as a bridge
Your breath is the fastest way back into your body.
Try this:
- inhale slowly through your nose
- exhale longer than you inhale
- repeat for 3–5 minutes
3. Micro-moments of presence
You don’t need an hour-long practice.
Just:
- feel your feet on the ground
- notice your hands
- take a conscious pause
4. Create safety in your body
Feeling returns when your system feels safe.
That can be:
- warm food
- soft movement
- slowing down
This Is Not About Becoming Someone Else
It’s about remembering.
Your body already knows how to feel.
You just stopped listening.
Food for thought
You don’t need to force it.
Feeling comes back
the moment you stop running from it.
Be curious. Be Sababa.
